Eucerin DermoPure (DermoPurifyer) Cleansing Gel is a soap-free, fragrance-free daily wash for oily and acne-prone skin, and one of the few cleansers with its own clinical data. It cleans with 6% mild amphoteric surfactants that remove excess sebum, dirt and make-up without stripping the barrier, it is non-comedogenic and alcohol-free, and in a twelve-week study of regular use papules fell by around a third. The gel lathers lightly, rinses clean and leaves skin comfortable rather than tight, which makes it suitable for skin under retinoid or benzoyl peroxide treatment. The newer DermoPure Clinical version sold in South Africa keeps the minimal formula and adds salicylic acid with AHA and PHA acids for active pore clearing.
