What to know before you choose
- Roughly a teaspoon for the face and neck, and a shot glass for an adult body. Almost everybody uses too little.
- Re-apply every two hours outdoors, and after swimming or sweating.
- Shade, a hat and a shirt come first; sunscreen covers what is left. Babies under six months belong out of direct sun altogether.
- A sunscreen you genuinely like wearing beats a better one that stays in the cupboard.
