ISDIN Eryfotona AK-NMSC is a medical-grade sunscreen made for people with actinic keratoses, the rough, scaly sun-damage patches that can progress to squamous cell carcinoma, and for anyone with a history of non-melanoma skin cancer. It combines SPF100+ broad-spectrum protection, largely from mineral filters, with liposome-encapsulated photolyase, a DNA-repair enzyme that recognises and reverses the UV-induced DNA damage that drives these cancers, and vitamin E as an anti-oxidant. Clinical studies show that daily use reduces actinic keratoses and the markers of cancerous change in sun-damaged skin, and it is used in dermatology alongside and after treatment of these lesions. The fluid is light, fragrance-free and suitable for daily use on face, scalp, ears and hands.
