ScarScience Scar Gel 15ml

ScarScience was developed by a team of South African plastic surgeons who wanted a scar product with more than silicone in it, and it is used after surgery, caesarean sections, burns and trauma. Its gel combines Centella asiatica standardised to 1% asiaticoside, whose triterpenes have decades of research on fibroblast activity and collagen organisation in healing wounds, with 10% Bulbine frutescens gel, a South African succulent traditionally used on wounds and burns and studied for its effect on collagen deposition, oleuropein from olive leaf as an anti-oxidant, and dimethicone for silicone-style occlusion and hydration. Applied twice daily to a closed scar for up to six months, it supports a flatter, softer, paler scar as it matures.
