Age Perfect Cleansing Milk is the cleansing step of L'Oréal's mature-skin range, an emollient milk that lifts make-up, sunscreen and daily grime from skin that has become dry and thin with age. Mature skin produces far less sebum, so foaming gels strip what little oil remains and leave it tight and papery; a milk cleans through gentle emulsification instead, leaving skin soft, comfortable and prepared for serum and cream. It can be massaged in and wiped off with a cotton pad or rinsed with lukewarm water, removes eye make-up without rubbing, and suits sensitive mature skin. Used morning and evening it keeps the skin's remaining lipids intact while still cleansing thoroughly.

Mature skin makes a fraction of the oil it did at thirty, and a foaming wash strips what is left twice a day. Switching to a milk removes the day's make-up and sunscreen just as well while leaving lipids behind, which is often the single change that stops mature skin feeling tight and dry.
