Calmettes Nite from Abbott is the night-time strength of Calmettes. Each coated tablet contains 125mg of valerian root dry extract, equivalent to 375mg to 750mg of valerian root. It is a herbal medicine indicated for temporary difficulty in falling asleep and for temporary mild nervous tension. In clinical studies valerian extract shortened the time taken to fall asleep and increased the proportion of deep, slow-wave sleep. Suitable for adults and children over 12 years.
